By the time we arrive home, I am exhausted. But before going to bed, I take a minute to write in my journal.

Ian took me for a drive up the Blue Ridge parkway today. It was beautiful and very peaceful. We had a picnic lunch. Then we went for a walk along the stream. When we got back, Mitch called to tell me he had to work late. I wanted so badly to see him. I miss him when we are apart. We plan to go out tomorrow evening.

Ian wanted to cheer me up, so he took me to an amusement park called Ghost Town. I've never had so much fun. We rode ride after ride. Then he treated me to dinner.

I don't know what it is or how to describe it, but it feels so natural to be with him. I feel safe somehow. I am completely drawn to him and I don't know why. And it's not romantic or anything. It's just something I can't describe. I have only known him for two days, yet I feel so close to him.

It's a good feeling.
